Whether it be through solos, classical music, marching band, jazz, or film scores, one can always find a trumpet among the leaders of the ensemble’s sound. Many pieces use the trumpet to carry the melody and is often utilized as the lead instrument. The video above shows some of the world’s greatest trumpet players performing various pieces of orchestral and solo repertoire. Below is the Maynard Ferguson Tribute Band comprised of some of the world’s best trumpet players. Ferguson was a world renowned trumpet soloist who could play tremendously high and taught many of the world’s great trumpet players, many included in the video.
